So my wife's AP was fired because he's an idiot and posted a bunch of stuff on his Facebook about the boss. "Malicious Gossip" was the reason given.
Great, right? Well, yes, but all it did was make me think about why I think it's great. Why it's even on my radar. Why I should even care. My wife was dancing in the streets and couldn't wait to tell me, but all it did was kick me off into a spiral yesterday.
Today is not so bad. I'm glad he got canned. I'd like to think the karma bus got him for having the types of personality flaws that not only allow him to pursue married women, but make him stupid enough to publicly drag his boss online in a public forum. Hearing about it yesterday tho, all it really did was trigger me. Shouldn't I just be glad he's gone?
Maybe I shouldn't have gone to his fb page to look for what it was he posted. He had already deleted it all and all I saw were little quips and self aggrandizing back-patting memes about how he's such a stand up guy who's such a great friend to have and always makes the most "ethical" choices (he actually typed that). It took all I had to not leave a few comments on some of his posts...

Perhaps you find it deeply upsetting that your wife betrayed you with a total moron and buffoon.

This reminds me of the post about OM dying.
Perhaps it's your wife mentioning him that's triggering.

Feel whatever you want to feel, you can partake in schenfreude but also feel many other things about it since he was mentioned.
And honesty, when they're a dingus the 'really? with that person?!' kind of hits in the most annoyingly triggering way because we cannot fathom the why it was them to some degree.
I say have a nice dinner of your choice and have a little smirk celebration that at least he's not around, bit of a mental load off!
Figuring it all out BW.

Reality. You need to look at why you care. You care because your wife would not quit her job, which means whether you like it or not that the affair was on going. No, really. You knew it was wrong to stay under these circumstances, but you still did.
Next, you spend so much time thinking about the other man because deep down you want to continue to believe that you wife would not have cheated if it were not for him. Guess what, she is a cheater. She cheated. With at least him for sure.
Please understand I am writing this bluntly because I hope you will start living in reality.
Whether you stay or not, you need to live in reality.

They work for the same company. She met him at work. When someone gets fired it's pretty news worthy.

She transferred to a different location several miles from the one where they met right after d day. They have locations all over that valley.
